A little while ago, a facebook fan told me “is easy for you to do photos because everything is perfect at your photoshoots… locations and light are never a problem… you can’t just go wrong… I could not answer to this as is exactly the same thing like you are saying, is easy for you to cook amazing, you have a great kitchen… Funny, right?! :))
Needless to say, first shoot after this conversation was totally different that we were planning it.
Meg & Chris, came on our beautiful island to scout locations for their wedding… and they fall in love with my photos from Sandbar… I hired a boat, (thank you, captain Horacio for how wonderful you were!) and when we arrived at the sandbar… it was totally covered with water… than, I said, “no problem, I have a backup.. the sandbar with the blue lagoon…” My backup was a leftover patch of sand… 75% of my beautiful sandbar was underwater… and, to top my conversation with my facebook fan, wasn’t sunny either… and the light, not the best…
One of the things good to know about when you hire me, is I never panic. I am going with plan A, B, C, D… how many are necessary to get what my clients want and I told them “we have enough sandbar… and the light is OK and it will be much better in an hour…” Well, I was right.
This situation changed the point of view of photos and I focused on Meg & Chris love and chemistry & love. It was truly amazing! Their happiness and love, topped with champagne was exactly what we were hoping for. Beautiful portraits, laughing and running the water, rolling in the sand was on the menu of the day.
Here are few of their beautiful images:
Because we had zero sun, I offered few photos at their resort, just few photos at The Phoenix, if was sunny.. and yes, was a beautiful day! Unfortunately, I was available only for exactly 12 pm, when the sun is the strongest, so.. here we go, I dealt with strong light. But was wonderful!
Enjoy some of their BEAUTIFUL photos and hopefully, I’ll see you next summer at Las Terrazas Beach Resort for your wonderful wedding!
